Well, I didn't have any sweet hearts [literally and figuratively], but I still wanted to make something sweet and slightly kitschy, so I used a maraschino cherry on top, and replaced the sweet meringue with unsweetened whipped cream. Oh, and I also made some of batter chocolatey by replacing some of the flour with cocoa, because just like in real love, some people are naturally oriented differently. And both were delish!
