I am smitten with the idea of making Salted Caramel Martinis for an upcoming party. What appetizers would you recommend I serve with this drink? I have almost all of Nigella's cookbooks, so just point me in the right direction. Thanks!

As the Salted Caramel Martinis have the sweetness of buttersotch scnhapps a salty or smoky appetizer or canape is a perfect partner. Nigella's Parma Ham Bundles in Feast (p393) are easy to put together and you can make a plateful in advance so that you have something to offer guests as soon as they have a martini in their hands. Drunken Devils On Horseback from Christmas (p22) is a warm canape with bacon and would be a great choice made with smoked bacon.
Sausages are another warm option and Nigella has numerous recipes but the Cocktail Sausages in Nigella Express (p322) and the Wholegrain Mustard and Ginger Cocktail Sausages in Kitchen (p418) are easy to prepare in large quantities and cook with little fuss. If you are in the US then breakfast sausage links are a good alternative to the British cocktail sausage. And for a smaller gathering try the Sherry-Glazed Chorizo from Kitchen (p429) alongside a bowl of Marcona Almonds.
