I would like to cook Nigella's Coq au Riesling but I'm not keen on dill. What would be a good substitute for dill in this recipe?

    From the nigella team:

Nigella's Coq au Riesling (from Nigella Express) is a "vin blanc" version of Coq au Vin, with white wine, mushrooms and bacon. As it is made with white wine it is possible to add a splash of cream to the sauce, if you like. The dill for the recipe is sprinkled over at the end. You could omit the herb altogether, though it is nice to have some fresh herbs to finish a casserole or stew as herbs add a splash of colour and a little freshness.

Tarragon goes well with chicken and would be an alternative, though use it sparingly as it is a stronger herb and can have to potential to overpower. Chopped parsley could also be used, either the flat-leaf (Italian) or the regular, curly type. The delicate leaves of chervil would also make a good garnish, though this herb can be more difficult to find in regular supermarkets.
