Honey cake is often served for Rosh Hashanah. Nigella's Honey Cake (from Feast and on the Nigella website) is made with milk, which does mean that for those who observe the Kosher dietary laws it should not be served if meat is included in the same meal.

Almond milk would be a good substitute for the cow's milk in the recipe and would be used in the same quantity. As almond milk is made from nuts, and does not come from an animal, we understand that it is normally considered to be pareve. You should be able to buy almond milk in some supermarkets and heath food stores. If it is extremely important that the product is certified as pareve, for example if using a nut milk in another dish at Passover, then do check the information on the packaging as some nut and plant-based milks can suffer from cross-contamination in processing.
