I'm trying to find one of Nigella's recipes. It appeared on the old website but I haven't been able to find it on the new one. From memory it involves a "sort of" eggy-bread but I seem to remember chocolate as well and icing sugar. I think I also saw it on one of her TV shows in which it was served as a midnight feast, as an indulgent or comfort dish. I'm desperate to find it again! Many thanks.

We suspect that the recipe you are looking for is Nigella's Doughnut French Toast which appears in Nigella Express on p188. Is is also on the current website and the link is below.
For the French toast the eggs are flavoured with vanilla and then the cooked toast is tossed in caster (superfine) sugar. Nigella doesn't actually use chocolate in the recipe but does like to serve the French toast with steaming mugs of hot chocolate. You can also make a strawberry sauce as an accompaniment by whizzing together 150g (6 ounces) hulled strawberries, 4 tablespoons icing (confectioners') sugar and a few drops of lemon juice. You could also add some ground cinnamon to the sugar, if you prefer.
