Banana Bread Cup Measures

When giving the ingredients for the Banana Bread recipe it states cup measurements. How many ounces is a cup? Thanks.

We supect that you may have been looking at the US variation of the recipe for Banana Bread available on the Nigella website (from Domestic Goddess). Cup measurements are used mainly in the US and the weight in grams/ounces of one cup of an item will vary according to the ingredient being measured.
A recent upgrade to the Nigella website allows you to switch between UK and US measurements for Nigella's own recipes. Simply click on the blue button next to the title "ingredients" and this will let you switch between US and metric measuremants. Then just use the measurements that suit you. However please only use one set of measurements as "mixing and matching" measurements can upset the ratio of ingredients in the recipe.
