Re-Usable Cake Tin Liners

Asked by pinksunshine. Answered on 23rd August 2011

Full question

Can you please tell me where i can get the reusable cake tin liners that Nigella uses. I'm in Australia and no-one seems to have them - happy to purchase online. Thanks

Our answer

Nigella uses a product in the UK called Bake-O-Glide which is a silicone based sheet which can be cut to fit various pans. As it is made from silicone it is re-usable which saves having to cut baking parchment to line a cake pan each time it is used. The liners can also be washed in a dishwasher.

In Australia the liners are available on-line from the AGA shop, and they also make pre-cut liners for some cake pans. Unfortunately they are somewhat expensive, but over time you should recoup some of the cost as you will not have to keep buying parchment paper to line cake pans. In the US Bake-O-Glide may be available from some AGA suppliers (see link below) or we have found some pre-cut liners supplied by a company called Kitchen Krafts. Nordic Ware make a silicone oven liner which can be cut to fit pans. Progressive also make some pre-cut silicone pan liners for 9-inch cake pans and 2-pound loaf pans.
