INGREDIENTS

puff pastry dough
1 kilo gm milk
200 gm sugar
2 bsp raisins
4 bsp flaked coconut
1 bsp pistachio
1\4 tsp cinnamon
whipping cream

INTRODUCTION

Egyptian dessert. Legend has it that Om Ali was the first wife of the sultan Ezz El Din Aybek. When the sultan died, his second wife had a dispute with Om Ali, resulting in the second wife's death. To celebrate, Om Ali made this dessert and distributed it among the people of the land."
METHOD

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2.Place the pastry sheets in the baking dish and place the dish in the oven. Watch it closely. When the top layer turns crunchy and golden, remove it from the oven. Continue until all the sheets are cooked.
3.Break the baked dough into small pieces with hands and place it in the bottom of ovenproof dish (buram).
4.Spread raisins ,coconut and pistachio over the pastry.
5.Bring milk and sugar to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
6.Pour over pastry and nuts mixture and spread cinnamon .
7.Leave it 5 minutes before enter it into the oven.
8.Preheat the oven broiler.
9.Cover the surface of mixture with layer of whipping cream.
10.Place dessert under oven broiler until top is golden Brown, about 10 minutes. Serve hot.

Thank you, thank you, now I'm really excited. I've been looking this recipe for a while. I love it. I've had it with a hint of rose water and it's lovely. I'm heading to the supermarket now to get the stuff and make it. YUMMY!!
