Ingredients

Serves: 4

Metric Cups
  • 200 grams pasta (penne or fusilli - if eaten on its own double ingredient amounts)
  • 1 can tuna (in olive oil)
  • ⅓ cucumber
  • ½ tin chopped tomatoes
  • salt (to taste)
  • black pepper (to taste)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • ½ lemon
  • fresh flatleaf parsley (fresh, chopped - use several leaves to garnish)
  • 7 ounces pasta (penne or fusilli - if eaten on its own double ingredient amounts)
  • 1 can tuna (in olive oil)
  • ⅓ cucumber
  • ½ tin diced tomatoes
  • salt (to taste)
  • black pepper (to taste)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • ½ lemon
  • fresh italian parsley (fresh, chopped - use several leaves to garnish)

Method

Tuna Pasta Salad is a community recipe submitted by sineadkb and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and place in cool bowl. Allow to cool for a bit.
  • Mix in the oil, mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
  • Squeeze the lemon over the pasta.
  • Add the tuna, cucumber, sweetcorn, tomato and chopped parsley. Mix thoroughly.
  • Garnish with parsley.
  • Virtually anything can be added, e.g. eggs, sun-dried tomatoes, bacon (very nice!), capers, anchovies, spring onions etc.

    • I love this recipe! So easy, but a tasty twist on the traditional tuna pasta salad. (I do use fresh tomatoes, rather than the tinned). Thanks for posting!
