This is courtesy of the Australian Women's Weekly 'Sweet Old Fashioned Favourites'. They describe it as follows: 'Armenian cooking is noted for its use of spices. In this recipe nutmeg adds fragrance to a not too sweet cake that cooks in two layers'. I would actually describe it as a cakey slice. I love this recipe, it freezes well and I always get asked for the recipe whenever I serve it to friends. It is as described - not too sweet and very aromatic with the nutmeg - and very easy to make.
