What does this mean?

Portuguese steak with a delicious cream sauce. Especially scrumptious with chips (french fries)

Ingredients

  • 4 tenderloin steak (cut half and inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.8 pints heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons brandy
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1 salt (to taste)

Method

  1. Over medium heat, melt the butter in a 12 inch skillet.
  2. Fry the steaks turning them over after 2 minutes or so. Don't overcook at this point. They'll finish cooking later.
  3. Add mushrooms and cream to steaks and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add brandy and pepper and simmer over low heat. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Serve with chips(French fries) and salad. Enjoy!!
