Introduction

This cocktail recipe was taught to me by a Cuban guy who always told me the name of it waaaaay too fast for me to catch properly (luckily he was a bit slower in pace with other things..:))). It's best when drunk really, really cold!

Serves: 4-5 drinks

Metric Cups
  • 2 limes
  • 4 tablespoons honey (liquid)
  • 4 shots white rum
  • ice cubes (crushed)

  • Chop up the limes and divide the pieces over four glasses (short-stemmed is better than "real" cocktail glasses).
  • Using some sort of pestle-like tool, grind the juice out of the lemon pieces as you would for capirihnas.
  • In a shaker, combine crushed ice, honey and vodka and shake, shake, shake.
  • Divide over the glasses. Top up with more crushed ice if you prefer. Serve with a smile (he always did) and enjoy!
