What does this mean?

Yummy pasta salad great for entertaining. Mayonaise can be substituted for sour cream to make a great pasta main.

Ingredients

Switch to Cup Measures
  • 1 chicken (roasted or BBQ)
  • 500 grams pasta (spirals or bows)
  • 400 grams mayonnaise
  • 3 rashers bacon
  • 1 carrot (cut into strips)
  • 2 tomatoes (diced)
  • 1 bunch celery (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 spring onion (chopped)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

Method

  1. Cook pasta and drain
  2. Cook off bacon to desired crispiness. Strip chicken of all meat and skin. Discard bones and grotty bits.
  3. Mix chopped carrot and celery with diced tomatoes and mayonnaise and herbs in a bowl big enough for pasta and chicken.
  4. Chop up bacon and add it to mayo mix along with chicken and pasta. Garnish with spring onion, salt and pepper. Serves 6 as salad and 4 as hot pasta main
