Ingredients

  • 7 oz chopped butter
  • 7 oz bittersweet chocolate
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 150C. Melt butter and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until combined. Allow to cool.
  2. Place chocolate, eggs, sugar and vanilla in a bowl and stir with a wooden spoon.
  3. Sift in the flour, baking powder, cocoa and a pinch of salt and stir.
  4. Pour into patty cases and bake for 45 mins, checking with a skewer.
