Introduction

This garlic bread is delicious; it uses margarine rather than butter and has a hint of pepper - perfect for those who love spicy food. It's been said that this is indeed the best garlic bread in the world. So it's my duty to share it!

Ingredients

Serves: 0

  • 5 cloves garlic
  • cayenne pepper
  • oregano
  • 2 drops olive oil
  • salt (to taste)
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella
  • 1 baguette
  • 1 cup margarine

Method

  • Preheat the oven at 350 Fahrenheit.
  • Slice the baguette diagonally into about 18-20 pieces.
  • Crush the garlic cloves.
  • Mix in a small bowl the margarine, olive oil, crushed garlic, and adding the oregano and cayenne peppers; stirring with a spoon. Add a sprinkle of salt -- not too much as the garlic and spices add their own salt.
  • Spread the margarine mixture onto one side of the pre-cut pieces of baguette.
  • Cover generously in cheese and sprinkle more oregano on top.
  • Place in the oven for about 20 mins or until the cheese has melted and is starting to get that golden rusty colour. Share with people you love!
