Take the peel off the tomatoes and blend them to make a thick puree. Heat 1 tbsp desi ghee in a pan and add 2 tsp ginger and garlic paste. Once the ginger and garlic turns brown add chopped onions. Saute. Add 2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder and the tomato puree. Saute for sometime.
Now add the marinated fish pieces to the cooking mixture. Add some salt and water. Add about 1 tsp of garam masala. Cook it for some time.
Now add 1tsp black pepper powder, stir it gently. Saute for some time. Take it out and serve hot.
