Ingredients

Serves: 6-8

Metric Cups
  • 500 grams guava paste (melted in bain-marie)
  • 6 medium egg whites (beaten into stiff peaks)
  • 125 millilitres cream cheese
  • 125 millilitres mascarpone cheese
  • 250 millilitres cream (or half and half)
  • 17⅔ ounces guava paste (melted in bain-marie)
  • 6 medium egg whites (beaten into stiff peaks)
  • 4 fluid ounces cream cheese
  • 4 fluid ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 9 fluid ounces cream (or half and half)

Method

  • Pre-heat oven 250 degrees.
  • For the quava souffle: Gently fold the melted guava paste into the beaten egg whites.
  • Put mixture into a (buttered and sprinkled with sugar) souffle dish and bake at 250 degrees for 15/20min or until it puffs above the dish.
  • For the cheese sauce: Melt the cheeses slowly on low heat
  • Let melted cheeses cool down add cream
