JAM PUDDING
A boiled pudding for when it's cold and there is nothing in the house!

Ingredients
- 125 ml jam (apricot is good) or golden syrup
- 2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
- 125 ml butter
- 375 ml flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 625 ml water
- 325 ml sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger or cinnamon
- a tablespoon of vinegar
- a teaspoon of butter
Method
Serves: 4-6
- Boil the water, sugar, ginger, vinegar and teaspoon of butter for 3 minutes.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients to a dough, and add to boiling syrup in spoonfuls.
- Put on lid, turn down to low heat and cook for 5 minutes. DO NOT STIR.
- Remove from stove and serve with cream, custard or ice cream.
