This dish is a family favorite. Smooth cheese flavored and hugged by lasagne sheets, smothered in your favorite bottled pasta sauce and topped with fresh parmasean. Serve with a bowl of salad and a glass of red wine.

Ingredients

Serves: 4-6

Metric Cups
  • 10 lasagne sheets
  • 100 grams soft goat's cheese
  • 350 grams ricotta cheese
  • 2 teaspoons chives
  • 2 tablespoons Italian mixed herbs (dried, or more if you prefer_
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (fresh, grated)
  • pasta sauce (a jar of your favourite)
  • basil leaves (a few, as garnishing)

  • 12⅜ ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 teaspoons chives
  • 2 tablespoons Italian mixed herbs (dried, or more if you prefer_

  • pepper (to taste)
  • 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (fresh, grated)
  • pasta sauce (a jar of your favourite)
  • basil leaves (a few, as garnishing)

Method

Paola's Easy Cannelloni is a community recipe submitted by paola78 and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Preheat oven to 180C.
  • Cook lasagne sheets about 5 minutes. Remove and drain on a tea cloth.
  • Make cheese filling by combining ricotta, goat cheese, chives, spices, salt and pepper.
  • Place a little less than a tablespoon of the mixture on each sheet and roll up.
  • Coat a baking dish with olive oil and place "cannelloni" in dish.
  • Cover with a your favourite pasta sauce and top with grated parmesan.
  • Bake at 180C for 30 minutes.
  • Serve dish and garnish each plate with a few small leaves of basil. Accompany with salad, red wine and good conversation.!
