What does this mean?

These are easy to make and could be made by children. Use any broken biscuits that have gathered at the bottom of the biscuit tin!

Ingredients

Switch to Cup Measures
  • 50 grams butter
  • 25 grams soft light brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons golden syrup (level)
  • 4 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter (level)
  • 175 grams biscuits (broken and crushed lightly)

Method

Making time about 5 minutes; Chilling time, overnight

  1. Place the butter in a small saucepan with the sugar and golden syrup and bring slowly to the boil, stirring until the sugar has dissolved and the butter has melted.
  2. Remove from the heat and at once stir in the peanut butter.
  3. Add the biscuits and mix well.
  4. Press the mixture into a lightly greased 7 inch (17.5-cm) square tin and leave in a cool place until quite firm. Then cut into 12 squares.
