Ingredients

Serves: 12

Metric Cups
  • 50 grams butter
  • 25 grams soft light brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons golden syrup (level)
  • 4 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter (level)
  • 175 grams biscuits (broken and crushed lightly)
  • 1¾ ounces butter
  • ⅞ ounce soft light brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons golden syrup or light corn syrup (level)
  • 4 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter (level)
  • 6⅙ ounces biscuits (broken and crushed lightly)

Method

Making time about 5 minutes; Chilling time, overnight

  • Place the butter in a small saucepan with the sugar and golden syrup and bring slowly to the boil, stirring until the sugar has dissolved and the butter has melted.
  • Remove from the heat and at once stir in the peanut butter.
  • Add the biscuits and mix well.
  • Press the mixture into a lightly greased 7 inch (17.5-cm) square tin and leave in a cool place until quite firm. Then cut into 12 squares.
