Ingredients

Switch to Cup Measures
  • 500 grams potatoes
  • 20 grams butter
  • 175 ml milk
  • 50 grams cheese (grated)
  • nutmeg
  • salt

Method

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water, peel and mash while still hot. Arrange them in a saucepan. Add the butter, a pinch of nutmeg and a pinch of salt.
  2. Stir with a wooden spoon and add a little at a time until the hot milk to create a soft cream.
  3. Stir in cheese.
