Introduction

This is a recipe I tried out when this Asian Famous Blogger made a video of it. I was inspired by her and decided to share this on Nigella's web and I hope that this recipe of her's I shared, everyone will like it. Ingredients

Serves: 4.

  • sherry cooking wine
  • thickened cream
  • 1 clove garlic
  • shiitake mushrooms
  • oyster mushrooms
  • butter
  • risotto rice
  • olive oil
  • chicken stock (concentrated)

Method

Risotto is a community recipe submitted by xoxokarrietay and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Cut the mushrooms into slices. 2 cups of rice for 3 person. Hot pan, melt the generous chunk of butter and add garlic(chopped). Fry it for a while and add in the mushrooms.
  • Add some Sherry Cooking Wine. (approximately 3 big table spoons)
  • Simmer mushrooms till there are water. Rinse rice with water and pour them into the pan.
  • Dilute the chicken stock and add in slowly. (4 mins,4 mins) Add a little bit of butter and olive oil. Stir, let rice simmer. Pour in 1 can of Nestle Thick Cream.
  • Let rice simmer and serve
  • Additional Information

    Cut off the Shitake Mushroom's stem cos if you don't, the mushrooms will taste bitter. Wash the mushrooms clean. Any types of mushrooms you think that will make your risotto delicious may be added in.
