What does this mean?

Ingredients

Switch to Cup Measures
  • 1 chocolate sponge cake
  • 30 ml brandy (or sherry - optional)
  • 6 white meringues (broken into pieces)
  • 6 pink meringues (broken into pieces)
  • 1 tin caramel
  • 500 ml fresh cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (whip together with the cream)
  • 1 punnet strawberries (fresh)
  • 410 grams lychees (canned)
  • 3 kiwi fruit (peeled and sliced)
  • mint leaves (to garnish)

Method

  1. Sprinkle the sponge cake with brandy or sherry.
  2. Pack all the ingredients in layers in a glass bowl ending with a layer of cream.
  3. Place in fridge until needed.
  4. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs
