Buying the fondue set was my first mistake...

Ingredients

Switch to Cup Measures

for the fondue

  • 500 grams Toblerone chocolate
  • 250 ml double cream
  • 60 ml milk

for dipping into the fondue

  • marshmallows
  • bananas
  • strawberries

Method

  1. Break up the Toblerone into pieces and melt the Toblerone, cream and milk together, using a no-doubt as yet unused fondue set - following the instructions that came with - or I suppose you could make do with a bowl over a pan of simmering water.
  2. Stir together and then if you want to minimise mess - though it's a losing battle - pour small amounts into warmed bowls for each child. Mine are resolute about having the flame - why wouldn't they be? It's potentially dangerous - and so I go along with it. It's a bit late to turn draconian.
