Introduction

I've made this a few times and thought I'd share. Also Polli wanted the recipe, so here it is.

Ingredients

Serves: 4

  • 3 tablespoons gelatine
  • ⅓ cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 14 ounces sugar
  • 4 tablespoons orange-flower water
  • food colouring
  • 4 ounces confectioners' sugar

Method

  • Let the gelatin soften it the cold water.
  • Add the sugar and the boiling water to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the gelatine and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • Add the essence and colouring.
  • Pour into a tray (don't grease the tray) and let it set either in the fridge or at room temperature.
  • Cut into squares and roll it in the confectioners' sugar.
  • Additional Information

You can use rose essence instead of orange flower water.

    What 1 Other has said

    • This is not turkish delight at all. Its pink toffee. Absolute nonsense. Wrong on an epic level. We followed every step perfectly. Ridiculous. Such a shame. You can’t even eat it its so hard and sticky. Awful awful recipe.
