Here is a recipe - courtesy of Australian Gourmet Traveller Dec06 - to use up the Maggie Beer inspired (more-so if you're an Australian foodie I guess) verjuice purchase. I've had most of a 750ml bottle lurking in my fridge for the last 12 months so was overjoyed to see this in the Christmas edition. I don't think it matters which you use, but it is fantastic. It is non-alcoholic, but could easily be spruced up a little with some judicious juggling of the main ingredients. But why post it here? This fairy pink drink is absolutely perfect with the Strawberry Strusel Cake that Nigella contributed to delicious. magazine (Australian edition) in Sep06. And, speaking of which, this is where you should use the mashed strawberry solids from the recipe below (which, in a moment of kitchen heresey (sp?), the original recipe said to 'discard'). It takes nothing away from the devine cake to have pre-crushed the strawberries before you whizz them up, and this drink is stunning with the cake.
