Our answer

Nigella's Salted Chocolate Tart (from SIMPLY NIGELLA) has a cookie crumb base that is filled with a rich chocolate cream. The tart needs to be refrigerated overnight, so that the filling sets.

The recipe does not suggest that the tart neeeds 24 hours to set, only that it is at its best within 24 hours as after that the cookie crumb base can start to soften and you lose the contrast of crisp crust and smooth filling. The recipe suggests leaving the tart in the fridge overnight to set. If you make the tart in the morning then we would allow a minimum of 8 hours in the fridge for the filling to set properly. This should give enough time for the tart to set and be served in the evening.
