This months Cookalong is a magnificent Chocolate Guinness Cake, made using a low-effort ‘melt and whisk in the pan’ method much like gingerbread. So it’s an easy way to make an intense rich and celebratory chocolate cake. If you can’t get Guinness where you are then any dark stout will do. And once the damp, dark cake is cooled, you ice or frost your cake with a (simple) cream cheese buttercream, swirling it about to make it look like the frothy head on a pint of Guinness. Photograph this beauty, add your caption, then send it to us, and you will then be in the running to win a signed book of Nigella’s. We will upload your entry, and will announce the winner after the end of the month.
