What brand of knives does Nigella use on her current TV show?

on Kitchen Nigella uses knives made by an Australian company called Furi. The one most commonly seen (which looks like a Japanese-style knife) is the FX Coppertail East West knife and it comes in both 12.5cm (5-inch) and 18cm (7-inch) sizes. One of the best places to find them is in major commercial kitchenware stores and they can be found on-line on Amazon, or via the link below. There are also scalloped edge versions of the knife but these are a little harder to find.

For the US try:

However, choosing knives is a very personal thing and there are many high-end and professional brands on the market. You want to choose a knife that feels comfortable and balanced in your hand. It is also worth investing in a good steel when you buy new knives. Sharpen the edges of your knife a few times on the steel before each use (and carefully wipe the blade with a tea towel before using) and it will stay fairly sharp and give you much better performance. A dull knife is hard to use and can be more dangerous to use as you have to apply much more pressure when chopping and slicing. If the blades of your knives have become very dull then they may benefit from being professionally sharpened - ask in your local kitchenware shop as some offer a knife sharpening service, or may be able to tell you where to go.
