• Tinned cherry tomatoes in the States

  Hello, I would like to find out where to get the tinned cherry tomatoes I saw Nigella use in her chickpea and chorizo stew. Any ideas? I'm in the States and have never seen them here. Thank you so much!

  You can buy the La Valle brand of canned cherry tomtoes on-line in the US at

  You may also find them in some Italian delis and gourmet markets. If you live in the New York area then you can also buy them from Fresh Direct and also it is worth checking out the canned tomatoes in Fairway.

  Otherwise you can replace the cherry tomatoes with 2 x 14-ounce cans regular diced tomatoes, or for a slightly chunkier effect use the same amount of peeled plum tomatoes and cut each tomato into 3-4 pieces before adding them to the pan.
