I have been released — just for a few moments, mind — from the final days of the filming, so that I may drop you a line or two. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who took part in our first Cookalong. I'm thrilled to hear that the squidgy Flourless Chocolate Lime Cake was popular — it's a real favourite of mine. Thank you all for sharing your thoughts, and hope you will join us for October's Cookalong, where we will be celebrating the season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness with my Autumnal Birthday Cake! And the best part is, you don't even need to have a birthday to make it for. I came up with it for my sister in law's birthday many moons ago, but it has been a staple of my calendar no matter the date ever since then. And when I can't get hold of maple extract — and you only need a quarter of a teaspoon — I just miss it out.
