What does this mean?

It takes under an hour start-to-finish to prepare, and it's ever so creamy. Perfect for Friday nights after a hard week's work.

Ingredients

Switch to Cup Measures
  • 63 ml butter Melted
  • 625 ml milk
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 750 ml mature Cheddar Grated
  • 313 ml Parmesan cheese Grated
  • 75 ml wholewheat flour
  • 1000 ml macaroni
  • 125 ml breadcrumbs

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Stir everything but the noodles and the bread crumbs in a pot, then gradually heat on stove until the mixture comes to a slow boil.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in the macaroni/cavatappi, coating all noodles as evenly as possible.
  4. Pour into a baking dish and sprinkle with the bread crumbs.
  5. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
  6. Let stand for five minutes to allow the sauce to congeal a bit before serving.
