Ingredients
Switch to Cup Measures- 1 can evaporated milk (light)
- 400 ml water
- 100 grams cane sugar
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 lemon (rind)
- 6 cloves
- 100 ml Amaretto liqueur
- 1 handful raisins
Method
- Soak raisins in amaretto.
- In a pan put in water, sugar, cinnamon stick, lemon rind and cloves. Simmer gently for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, cool a bit and strain.
- Add milk.
- Pour it in a glass or stainless steel bow, and freeze for 45 mins. Mix with a fork and stir in the strained amaretto. Pour mixture in your ice cream maker according to your instructions.
- Just before it is ready put in the raisins.
