Ingredients

Serves: 1

Metric Cups
  • 200 grams flour
  • 100 grams cornflour
  • 80 grams walnuts (ground)
  • 80 grams walnuts (halves)
  • 160 grams butter (cold)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary
  • 100 millilitres water (cold)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 200 grams feta cheese
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 7 ounces flour
  • 3½ ounces cornstarch
  • 2⅚ ounces walnuts (ground)
  • 2⅚ ounces walnuts (halves)
  • 5⅔ ounces butter (cold)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary
  • 4 fluid ounces water (cold)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 7 ounces feta cheese
  • salt
  • black pepper

Method

Cookielike Crunchy Bites With Feta and Rosemary is a community recipe submitted by belgrade and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  1. Mix by hand or in a food processor white flour, corn flour, ground walnuts,salt, black pepper, rosemary and add slices of butter till you get a coarse mixture.
  2. Add 100ml cold water or more to get a smooth dough put in a plastic bag and let rest in a refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. With a rollingpin between two baking papers spread the dough about 0,5cm then with a cup or cookie cutter cut out discs 5 cm in diameter and transfer to a baking pan with baking paper.
  4. With the remaining dough make into a ball and repeat rolling and cutting until all is used.
  5. Beat the egg yolk with a bit of water and cover with fingers half of the discs and on those discs place walnut halves bake at 180 celsius around 25 minutes let cool.
  6. Fill with feta left at room temperature and put together two halves of the cookie roll in ham or rosemary on the side for decoration.
