I don’t know if I should apologise for this or boast about it. Either way, I feel you will thank me for it. The thing is, it’s embarrassingly easy to make and is just the sort of count-no-calories indulgence that the season demands. Don’t be tempted to let the cheesecake come to room temperature before serving. It slices and tastes better with a bit of fridge-chill on it.

This recipe is so unbelievably easy and quick. I think next time I might put in a little Frangelico or Kahlua. I added a little dusted cocoa and icing sugar on top. It is delicious and definitely sinful. Not for the faint of heart!

This was the first cheesecake I ever made. Found it absolutely simple to make and not very time consuming either. Sprinkled some icing sugar on the top instead of walnuts! It tasted very very good!!! As Nigella say it, serve it cold/chilled.

This recipe is delicious! It was so simple & looked impressive. I made it after watching Nigella on tv recently, although I did half all of her ingredients as I couldn't bare putting 3 packets of cream cheese in. I also used Pistachio as they were the nuts I had in. It worked well and still fed at least 11 of my colleagues!

Tried this after seeing Lovely Nigella make this on the telly the other day. I have spent years making cheesecake bases with a rolling pin, plastic bag and hit em till their dead technique, why I never thought of the food processor before eludes me. Anyway, great simple recipe but I think I've improved upon it using chocolate Philli instead of plain Philli. This will obviously not suite everyone but I found that it calms the hazelnut flavour somewhat. However, it does make it even richer than the original recipe but that helps to make it stretch a little further.

I just wanted to say that the good thing about this desert is that you can make it the night before, it takes very little effort and its a hit every time.

I put the cheesecake in the freezer after making it and took it out two days later to defrost. Perfect.

This is a great recipe! I've made it many times for family and friends and there's never any left. It's so easy too! I tend to use a crushed praline on top instead of the chopped hazelnuts, yummy! I'm making it again next week for my mum's 60th birthday. I strongly recommend giving it a go :)

Thanks a lot for the recipe. Yes this is the recipe and it is wonderful, especially as soon us the feast of Shavuot, the celebration of the first harvest, when they eat dishes and different kinds of cheese and milk. I intend to do Ricote Ravioli with sweet but salty. Thanks for the wonderful recipe! Marlena.
