For those who want to begin with drinks not food, take a small martini glass, dab a little butterscotch schnapps around the rim then dredge in fleur de sel.
In a small jug, mix 2 x 15ml tablespoons vodka, 2x 15ml tablespoons butterscotch schnapps and 1 x 15ml tablespoon dry white vermouth.
Pour carefully into waiting martini glass so as not to disturb the salt rim.

I ran for the drinks cupboard and have martini glass in hand now - this is the perfect use for that bottle of Butterscotch Schnapps and it's making my Christmas gift wrapping so much more enjoyable!

Sounds delicious! I want to make these for a New Year's Eve party with appetizers. What appetizers would go well with this drink? I have almost all of Nigella's cookbooks, so if you could please point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!
