Ingredients
Switch to Cup Measures- 100 grams butter
- 100 grams light brown muscovado sugar
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 150 grams self-raising flour
- 85 grams Smarties
Method
- Preheat oven to 180c.
- Cream butter and sugar in a bowl until creamy.
- Beat in syrup, Work in half the flour, Stir in smarties with the remaining flour and work the dough between your fingers,
- Divide into 14 balls, Place them, well spaced apart, on two baking sheets. Do not flatten them.
- Bake for 12 mins., until pale and golden on the edges. Cool on a wire rack.
