Nice crispy Okra to go with Naan

Ingredients

Serves: 2-3 people

Metric Cups
  • okra
  • ½ kilogram red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mango powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt (to taste)
  • turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon mustard oil
  • 4 teaspoons green chillies

Method

Tawa Okra is a community recipe submitted by guptamona and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Wash Okras and dry them by patting in soft Kitchen towel.
  • Remove the cap of each okra Make cut lengthwise in middle of each okra to make a cavity.
  • In a bowl, add salt,turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dry mango powder and 1 tsp oil. Mix well Fill each okra with this nice masala.
  • In Low bottomed non stick pan or tawa, add 3 tsp oil. Spread evenly and place on low heat. Putall okras and let them cook in pan for 15-20 mins or till crisp.
  • Check in between and turn them upside down with fork.
