Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ⅓ cup oil
  • 1 egg
  • ⅓ cup milk

Method

  1. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  2. In a cup put the oil and the egg and beat well.Fill the rest of the cup with milk.
  3. Put into the flour and mix until it comes together.
  4. Take dough out and place on a floured board and pat down with your hands until about 5 cm.
  5. Cut into rounds, place on a baking tray,and bake in a hot oven 200 for 10 minutes.

  • Looking for a quick breakfast dish, on a lazy Saturday morning! It was one of those days! Had not done any shopping on Friday night, over slept on Saturday, with a bad case of the munchies, checked the lader, found a lone egg, no bacon, frozen sausages. What to do! Google directed me here - have tried many many scone recipes before however, needless to say one Bite and hooked. Best recipe for a scone ***** five stars all round. Thanks.
