What does this mean?

This is the go-to meal at our house when I can't face "real" cooking. It's from Everyday Italian with Giada De Laurentiis.

Ingredients

Switch to Cup Measures
  • 1 can cannellini beans
  • 1 handful fresh parsley (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 juice of lemons
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pinch of salt (to taste)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 pitta breads (cut into sixths)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Method

  1. Place beans, lemon, garlic, salt, and parsley in food processor
  2. Pulse until roughly chopped
  3. With machine running, add enough olive oil to make a creamy paste
  4. Check seasoning and set aside
  5. Place pita triangles on baking sheet, sprinkle with oregano and a small amount of olive oil
  6. Toss to combine and spread out into a single layer
  7. Bake in a hot oven about 10 minutes
