Can I Freeze Rice Krispie Squares?

Nigella's Chocolate Rice Krispie Squares and Marshmallow Crispy Squares are a popular option for school bake sales as they are liked by both children and adults. The squares will keep for up to a week in an airtight container in the fridge, but the puffed rice cereal does start to soften after a couple of days.

Freezing the squares can sometimes cause them to be a little sticky when they thaw, but if you really need to freeze them then stack the squares in an airtight container with baking parchment (parchment paper) in between the layers. Freeze for up to 3 months. To defrost the squares, remove them from the container and put on a serving plate at room temperature for 1 hour. Try to eat them on the same day.
