Can I freeze the Easy Almond Cake (minus the apple purée)? If so, for how long?

Nigella's Easy Almond Cake (from HOW TO BE A DOMESTIC GODDESS) uses marzipan for the almond element of this cake. It is very easy as the ingredients are blitzed together in a food processor to a smooth batter, which is then baked.
The cake can be frozen. Once it has fully cooled, wrap it in a double layer of food wrap and a layer of foil and freeze for up to 3 months. To thaw the cake, unwrap it and leave it on a wire rack at room temperature for 2-3 hours. Dust with icing sugar(confectioners') sugar just before serving. The apple purée can also be frozen. Once cold, transfer to a resealable container and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and either take it out of the fridge 1-2 hours before serving to let it come to room temperature or warm the purée gently in a saucepan, stirring frequently.
