Chocolate Buttons

Asked by Unknown. Answered on 21st June 2015

Full question

Hello! Details of stockists of Monrgomery Moore chocolate buttons would be appreciated.

Our answer

Montgomery Moore produced chocolate buttons, or chocolate drops, that were very useful for baking and melted chocolate as they could be measured out by weight and as they were a uniform size the melted evenly and quickly.

Unfortunately as far as we can tell these chocolate drops are not currently in circulation, however Callebaut make a very similar product in Belgian plain (semisweet), milk and white chocolate. They also make a dark (bittersweet) 70% cacao chocolate drop. These chocolate drops are available from Jane Asher (on-line or call the store before making a special trip) in the UK and from several on-line sources in other countries. Please note if you are searching for the drops on line they may be listed as "callets" rather than drops or buttons.
