Grasshopper Pie Without Creme De Cacao

Nigella's Grashopper Pie (from Kitchen) has a filling made from melted marshmallows and whipped cream. The filling is flavoured with creme de menthe and creme de cacao. Nigella uses this combination as it is the combination used in the Grasshopper cocktail.

Creme de cacao is a chocolate flavoured liqueur, though it is quite sweet and the chocolate flavour is not that pronounced. If you don't have the creme de cacao then you can omit it. You could use a little more creme de menthe if you like, but we would be cautious of using a double quantity as it could give a slightly medicinal effect. We would suggest adding maybe 1 to 2 more tablespoons only (ie 5 to 6 tablespoons of creme de menthe in total).
