Could the Nutella Pancakes be prepared a few hours in advance (up to step 3) and then popped in the oven before serving?
Nigella's Nutella Pancakes (from NIGELLA EXPRESS) are a decadent but very easy to make dessert. The pancakes can be filled with Nutella up to a day in advance, put on a greased baking sheet and stored in the fridge, covered with clingfilm (plastic wrap) to prevent the pancakes from drying out. This is to the end of step 2. We would prefer to brush the pancakes with the melted butter and Frangelico mixture just before the pancakes go into the oven as it helps the chopped hazelnuts to stick to the top of the pancakes before they are baked. But this is very quick and can be done while the oven heats up.
Frangelico can be omitted from the recipe if the pancakes are to be served to children. Store-bought crepes are fine for this recipe but if you prefer to make your own then you may like to consider Nigella's recipe for Crepes.
