Ok so this may not be the prettiest of Christmas pudding (I actually steamed it in a pudding cloth - and then we had some very hot humid weather and it went mouldy on top - so i removed it from the bag (losing half my pudding!), cut the mould off and did the final steaming in a pudding basin - only to find out from my beautiful Aunty in her 80's that puddings always go mouldy - just scrape it off and steam it she says!) None the less this was the most delicious pudding, so deep and developed in flavour, going to make it again for Christmas in July when the weather is cooler.
