This is actually a Hot Cross Bun entry, I really hope I'm not too late! These won't win any prizes for 'best looking' hot cross buns, but I love the fact that they look so rustic and so obviously home-made. I used chocolate chips in place of the mixed dried fruit, as nobody in our house likes the typical hot cross buns containing mixed fruit. Whereas these ones containing chocolate chips disappeared in no time. Frohe Ostern = Happy Easter, from Austria (where I can't buy hot cross buns, and so these were a most welcome treat this Easter!)
