I have the great honour of having my birthday on St Patrick's Day and to me this cake is the perfect way to celebrate. I haven't changed Nigella's recipe for the cake as I find it just right as it is. However, I do add Baileys to the cream cheese frosting as I find the colour resembles the foam on top of my favourite pint more. Also it is another great excuse to indulge in more alcohol :)
