A year ago, I found an abandoned sparrow's nest in a rose bush I was trimming. I saved it, thinking that I would need it for something, someday. Along came Nigella's March Cookalong, and I knew it finally had a purpose. I was happy to be able to incorporate it into something so delicious and fun to make. (On a personal note, I am a 60 year old Gran to 3 beautiful boys, ages 7, 4 and 18 months. After 6 years of caring for my aging parents, I now have the opportunity to focus on the boys and myself, which includes a lot of cooking and baking. I have watched and loved Nigella since she first appeared on American television with Nigella Bites. I clearly remember being fascinated by how the show was filmed...sexy was the best word to describe. It was a style so new and fresh, and now copied by so many.) Thank you for your consideration!
