I was inspired finally by the Cookalong to bake this cake but had to leave the house unexpectedly five minutes after putting it in the oven, leaving my husband in charge. I rang him to check on how it turned out. "It sank!" he reported anxiously. "Nigella says it should sink a bit," I assured him. "No, it really has sunk a lot." Upon my return, it was with some trepidation that I approached the cake. It was perfect! I topped it with 'unpeeled' Lindt eggs and sat it on a cloud of pashmak. Another much appreciated dessert from the domestic goddess.
